The art room has been a busy place over the past few months with the Kindergarten Art show and Sing-a-long! It was a wonderful event, as always! It was such a pleasure to see so many happy and proud artists celebrating their accomplishments and sharing with their families.
Here are a few of the Spring projects that have been keeping rm. 104 exciting....
Still Life Art in the style of Paul Cezanne
Materials: Mixed Media
Key Objectives: Drawing, Cutting, Collage, Composition and Pattern
Haystacks in the style of Claude Monet - Impressionism
Materials: pencil and oil pastels of warm and cool colors
Key Objectives: Drawing haystacks with thought of foreground, middle and background, ground or horizon line, use of warm and cool colors in Impressionist style (many repeating marks in layers showing time of day), Highlight and shadow
Fingerprint Bug Gardens
Materials: Ink pads in rainbow colors, plus black, white drawing paper, green construction paper, black marker, crayons
Key Objectives: Using fingerprinting to predict and plan insects shapes, fringe cutting, collage, marker to buggy details such as antennae, legs, wings, hairs, etc.
